Clients and Families

I have been an Occupational Therapist since 2001, working in some major rehabilitation units throughout the UK.  Since 2007 I have been working as a Brain injury case manager, supporting clients in their own homes, communicating with legal professionals and therapists. I have helped clients achieve their goals and get the best quality of life following their injuries.
I have personal experience of family members with brain/ spinal injury and I understand the complexities of being a sibling or a daughter in this situation. I’m passionate about supporting families through these challenging times as I have first hand experience both personally and professionally.
I understand that this is a confusing and upsetting time,
I am here to help you.

What to expect from your Case Manager

  • A case managers duty of care is always to the client, you (the person in receipt of the case management service), regardless of who commissions the case management service. Case management sits outside the litigation process.
  • Your case manager will:
    • work within your own home or place of residence
    • help you find the answers to your questions
    • support you to achieve your goals

How will this look for you?

  • The case management process includes assessment, planning, intervention and review.
  • Once I have been appointed as your case manager I will arrange a time to meet you and your family to carry out my initial assessment. I will spend this time asking you questions to get to know you and your family, I will also want to know what is important to you.
  • During the planning phase I will support you to create goals for the future.
  • The intervention can include rehabilitation or adaptations to your home. I will facilitate therapy input from other professionals, we will have meetings to discuss progress and you will be included in these.
  • Reviews and updates to the legal teams will take place regularly and any changes that need to take place will be done following this phase.
