Solicitors and Professionals

During my career I have worked in many regional NHS Neurological settings, as a Neurological Occupational Therapist, including;
  • The Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Liverpool
  • The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (Queens Square), London
  • Walkergate Park centre for Neurorehabilitaion and Neuropsychiatry. Newcastle Upon Tyne
The clinical experience from these settings gave me the foundations in Neurorehabilitation, required to work as a case manager. Providing me with a network of therapists and an understanding of diagnoses and prognoses following various neurological injuries. I developed my goal setting skills and communication techniques during this time and the importance of Multi-disciplinary working.
In 2007 I became a Brain Injury case manager and quickly developed my skills further. Working within the private sector liaising with legal team and medical experts.
My experience of managing many different clients from high functioning individuals living alone to clients with complex injuries requiring 24 hour packages of care. I have experience of working with pre and post trial clients, liaising with litigating solicitors, court of protection,  care experts and barristers, as well as local authority professionals and private practitioners. I am professional yet I am able to show empathy to my clients and their families knowing first hand how challenging these circumstances can be.
I have experience of claimant care expert work – providing care expert reports for the court in respect to clients who have sustained traumatic brain injuries.
My most recent role of Clinical Delivery manager at The Treatment Network has provided me with invaluable experience in the corporate world providing clinical services for clients who are case managed and require appropriate services to facilitate their rehabilitation. I have provided case managers with training and support to enable them to carry out their role with more ease.
I work hard and will go above and beyond what is asked of me, I have even been known to get my tool kit out as a case manager to enable a discharge home in time for Christmas.
I am a registered member of HCPC, RCOT Royal College of Occupational Therapists and BABICM. I have all the necessary insurance and can provide relevant policies and terms and conditions when requested.
